GETTING HERE

Juneau may not be connected to the road system, but Alaska's state capitol is surprisingly accessible by both air and sea.

About two hours from Seattle and 1.5 hours from Anchorage, Alaska Airlines offers direct flights from both cities year-round. Delta Airlines also flies seasonally between Juneau and Seattle.

The Alaska Marine Highway is the ferry system connecting Juneau to the rest of Alaska and the U.S., offering amazing scenery, whale-watching and glacier views for the ultimate Alaska "road trip".
