The history of the Jorgenson House and the family that runs the lovely boutique hotel are one and the same.

THE HISTORY OF THE HOUSE

Originally built in 1915 at the height of the Klondike gold rush, the home was passed down to Bill Jorgenson, Renda's uncle. As president of the Alaska historical society, Bill collected hundreds of cultural artifacts, photos and original artwork now displayed throughout the House. The Heimbigners completed a 15 year renovation that expanded the indoor and outdoor space, while taking great care to preserve the historical details of the home.
