A Historic Home With a Living Legacy

Originally built in 1915 during the height of the Klondike Gold Rush, the home was later passed down to Bill Jorgenson, Renda’s uncle. As president of the Alaska Historical Society, Bill gathered hundreds of artifacts, images, and original artworks that still adorn the home today.

After taking ownership, the Heimbigner family completed a careful 15-year renovation, expanding the indoor and outdoor spaces while preserving the home’s original character. The result is a warm, elegant retreat that honors its past while welcoming modern comfort.
